Cordova is a beautiful small pristine fishing community, located in south central Alaska. There are no highways to the outside, resulting in few tourists. Cordova however, is connected with twice daily 737-400 jet service by Alaska Airlines from Seattle and Anchorage, and more flights from Anchorage.  It is also served by the Alaska Marine Ferry out of Whittier, a 45 minute drive south of Anchorage. Cordova has a ice free harbor with plenty of slips available for private boats at very reasonable rates. Fish the ocean or the fresh water rivers and lakes.

 

Cordova's Ocean Climate Situated in Prince William Sound, Cordova's climate is influenced by the ocean.  The weather in Cordova is mild, with temperatures usually 10-15 degrees warmer than Anchorage. In summer, the area is lush with greenery and full of wild flowers and berries just waiting to be picked.  Well protected, the calm waters make boating and exploring the fjords greatly enjoyed.
